Freddie Roach feels Tim Bradley’s Faceoff comments were a slap in the face to Pacquiao

When I saw HBO’s Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2 Faceoff episode, I was left stunned. It has been said by many fighters that have faced Manny Pacquiao that his punches have a stinging effect inside the ring. Timothy Bradley managed to sting Pacquiao with out even landing a single punch. In the episode, sitting face to face with Paquiao, Bradley told the former WBO welterweight champion that he lacked killer instinct and did not deserve to be inside of the ring.

It took me by surprise and not by fact that Bradley said it but rather how calm Pacquiao was during and after. But we learned today that Pacquiao did not take Bradley’s comments lightly at all. In speaking with assembled media today at The Wild Card Boxing Club, Freddie Roach revealed that Pacquiao was not happy with what Bradley said to him:

It bothers Manny more then he let’s us know. He told me, ‘Can you believe what he said to me?’ I said now you have to prove to the world that it’s not true. It motivated Manny for this fight.

It struck a cord so much so that Roach informed us that Pacquiao took what was said as a slap in the face. He now feels that Pacquiao has a fire lit under him to want to actively seek a knockout on April 12th.
