Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum mentioned multiple times that closed-door talks between CBS/Showtime and HBO have taken place to get a possible mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Pacquiao, but Money May said he knows of no such negotiations.

Talking with media after the grand arrivals of all the fighters on this weekends “Mayhem” Showtime PPV card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather debunked the rumors over and over.

He said, as of now he doesn’t know of any talks taking place between the two networks and that anything can happen in the future.

Mayweather said that Arum and Pacquiao only mentioned that to help sell their own pay-per-view on Nov. 22 when Pac-man takes on Chris Algieri on HBO PPV.

Since Pacquiao himself mentioned the negotiations were taking place it got a lot of media attention and will only add to fan frustration over the ongoing fight to get the generation’s two best boxers in the ring with each other.

For now all the talk of the fight taking place in 2015 are just that talk, and until something concrete—like a signed contract by both Mayweather and Pacquiao—takes place to move the dream bout closer to reality, no one should believe anyone, even the fighters if they say the fight is forthcoming.
