When Danny Garcia steps into the ring against Lucas Matthysee on Saturday night at The MGM Grand, he will have firm belief in himself that he belongs on the mega event featuring Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Canelo Alvarez.
That belief stems from Garcia knowing he is the true champion at 140lbs, as well as believing that Lucas Matthyse is not the most skilled fighter he has faced, ” I am the best fighter he have ever faced. He is not the best fighter I have faced. I have fought way better fighters with skill. He might be the strongest but not the best.”
With that being said, Garcia is already doing one major thing that as far as we know will help him the night of the fight. He is not giving the mental edge to Matthysee by buying into the Tyson-like aura he has generated over the past year.
