I think Danny Garcia has been watching The Purge quiet a bit during his training camp for Rod Salka. He faces the “Hot Rod” (yes we just gave him a new nickname) on Aug 9th in a fight fans online have expressed extreme discontent with. In just about every interview I have seen him in, he has mentioned that he is going to “Purge” Salka.
The premise of the film The Purge is that America is in the shit hole (doesn’t sound too far off) and that for a period of 12 hours all crime is legal in the country. Theft, rape, murder; Anything goes.
So fans, Danny Garcia plans to rob, rape and murder Rod Salka all over the course of a 48 minute prizefight on live TV on Showtime. It should be quiet a splendid affair.
All jokes aside, Danny Garcia doesn’t care that you hate this match-up. He doesn’t care about those cherry emojis you have been posting on his wall this week and he doesn’t care that Salka is not world ranked.
