When Canelo Alvarez steps in the ring against Erislandy Lara this Saturday on Showtime PPV, expect him to fight the fight we expected him to fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. One in which he is some sort of crazed testosterone filled Honey badger just going ape shit over the pure awesomeness of being a freaking Honey badger. What the heck are we talking about right? Wrong! Honey Badgers are awesome bro.
Now back to the story! This of course is what Canelo says as he talked to our cameras today and noted that he plans to fight Lara very aggressively but intelligently. Combinations, pressure, and backing Lara into a corner are the goals for fight night. Can it be done? Yes. Will it be done? (shrugs) I’m sure Lara has his own plans on that.
