Saul “Canelo” Alvarez talks Shane Mosley bout, “I am not intimidated by anyone!”

Being that today is St. Patrick’s day we thought we would release this interview with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez who bears Irish ancestry but was born and raised Mexican. On May 5th, Alvarez will be taking on living legend “Sugar” Shane Mosley for Alvarez’s 154lb title. On the main card of this PPV bout will be Floyd Mayweather Jr. taking on Miguel Cotto for his 154lb title. Personally I think Alvarez and Cotto should have fought each other to unify the division but the Cotto/Mayweather match is going to be a lot more competitive than what many people think. Back to the topic at hand though, questions and criticism abound for Mosley who at the age of 40 has not won a significant fight in three years. That of course coming by way of a TKO win over Antonio Margarito who was caught with an illegal substance in his hand wraps prior to the fight. Though many are calling for Mosley’s retirement the Pomona based fighter is looking to shock the world once more.

The undefeated Alvarez has other plans as he talks to our Fight Hub TV cameras about not being intimidated by fighting a legend such as Mosley and though he will not say he can knock out Mosley he intends to have his best performance yet. Hopefully after this bout Alvarez can finally fight someone who is a natural junior-middleweight as his last few opponents have all been bloated welterweights.
