Adrien Broner Needs to Avoid Negative Press Going Forward

WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner has been making headlines lately, but not for his performances in the ring, rather his questionable actions outside of it.

Broner first made headlines earlier this week when he was arrested early Monday in Miami after a scuffle in a night club, where the 23-year-old allegedly bit a security guard trying to break up the scrum.

The 26-0 fighter was booked on battery charges and later released on $1,500 bond.
Seeming not to care too much about the criminal charges at first, Broner posted his mug shot on Twitter, before taking it down shortly after.

Then Broner had a change of tone when took to his Twitter to also apologize to his fans saying, “I wanted to say sorry to all my fans in this world for my behavior these last couple days. I know it’s people that look up to me. I APOLOGIZE.”

Not wasting much tome getting back into the press in a negative light, just a few days later the Cincinnati native stirred up controversy once again after a video surfaced of Broner in a strip club yesterday.

The video shows Broner “making it rain” money on the dancers and reportedly tossed out around $15,000 before he was done.

Getting into even stranger matters, the video proceeds to show Broner to give a dancer lying on the floor oral sex for a brief time, in a “did he really just do that” moment.

Sure getting one’s kicks in at a strip club is every person’s right, but sticking your tounge where who knows who else has live on stage isn’t the best of decisions for anyone to make, especially an up-and-coming superstar athlete.

If Broner has any sense he will lay low for the foreseeable future and not surface again until his next fight, which is supposed to be against Paulie Malignaggi, is officially announced to cool off the negativity that has followed him in the press the past week.
