If Brandon Rios is admitting he is nervous being on the big stage just doing press conferences promoting his bout with former welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao, the big question is how the nerves will affect his performance when the two fighters actually meet in the ring.

Sure being a little nervous is to be expected being on the biggest stage of one’s career, but to come out and admit that it shook him already will have Pacquiao smelling blood.

As the time goes by between now and the Nov. 23 fight date, Rios’ camp must be able to contain any nervousness and prepare their fighter to give the fight of his career. If any doubt is created by the nervousness then it might be a tough night for Rios in China.

Pacquiao is a veteran fighter, with several years of big time fights under his belt and nerves should be the last thing on Pac-Man’s mind.

Even though this bout may have his career riding on it, which only means that Pacquiao will be as hungry for a win as he’s ever been, so Rios should expect the best Pac-Man we’ve seen over the past several years.

One thing that Rios mentioned that will ultimately be the reason he wins or loses is he is a ballsy fighter.

Rios as shown time-and-time again that he is not afraid the trade punches with anyone and that could lead him to catch a punch from Pacquaio that ends the fight, but could also lead to him landing a punch that’s ends the bout as well.

No matter what the outcome, with a young, hungry Rios trying to prove himself in a fight with Pacquiao fighting for his career, a high-action, high-drama fight should leave any fan in attendance in Macao or the millions watching on pay-per-view glad they watched.
