Anthony Pettis on Donald Cerrone “I respect his skills, but I do not respect him as a man”

What a wonderful weekend of food and fights as Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero pulled off a upset in a grueling battle with Andre Berto this past weekend and as we now switch gears to MMA.

The subject of today’s topic is the escalating bad blood between UFC lightweights Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis. The two are rumored to meet at UFC on Fox 6, but both fighters have been gunning for each other for quite some time. Cerrone spoke on the matter to MMA Junkie a few weeks back and expressed some frustrations on a fight not materializing sooner, “Every time I suggest it, his manager comes back and says, ‘Well, maybe ‘Cowboy’ could fight somebody else right now,’ and it’s just this excuse to not fight,” he said.

Thus we see the beginnings of some heated words and some blood boiling as Anthony Pettis spoke to Michael Mardones on the developing heat between both fighters and how he respects Cerrone for his in-ring fighting ability, but not as a man.

Them be some fighting words right? Hopefully both fighters can stay safe and healthy as a clash between these two will be a good ol’ fashion slobber knocker!
