The last time Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao would be within arms reach of each other before their much awaited megafight Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, went down Friday at the official weigh-in for the bout.

Both fighters made weight, with Mayweather tipping the scale at 146 pounds, and Pacquiao coming in at 145 pounds, under the 147-pound welterweight limit, in front of a pack Grand Garden Arena crowd.

Tickets to the weigh-in were sold for $10 a piece, with all proceeds going to Mayweather’s charity of choice, theĀ  Susan G. Komen and the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health Pacquiao’s pick.

The face off, like Wednesday’s final presser one, displayed a serious stone faced Mayweather and a smiling, happy-go-lucky Pacquiao.

Many are suggesting that Pacquiao could be hiding his nervousness under that laughing and that Mayweather is the more focused one because he never took his eyes off Pacman, who’s eyes were wondering all over the place.

All the those questions and one of who the best fighter of this generation will be answered in about 24 hour’s time. Las Vegas is filled with boxing fans with the excitement ready to boil over, in a town made for these kind of high-profile events.

The bout is expected to shatter all pay-per-view, live gate and closed circuit records by a long shot, is being billed as “The Fight of the Century” for those reasons alone.

So everyone’s dream bout that appeared to be nothing more than just that, a dream, will finally come to fruition. Giving boxing fans what they’ve longed for, for the better part of the last six years.

The live pay-per-view telecast will be co-produced and co-distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and SHOWTIME PPV beginning at 9:00 p.m. EDT/ 6:00 p.m. PDT.
