With the May 2 mega-fight about two weeks away, the hype behind the long-awaited Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao bout is beginning to boil over with both fighters hosting media days this week.

Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) hosted his Wednesday at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles and offered some insight to how he can be successful in the ring at the MGM Grand next month.

The possibility of Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) coming out early and trying to push the action excited Pacquiao, saying, “I like it. I like it, yes. It’s better for me.”

Pacquiao hopes for an aggressive Mayweather, so he can land a few shots that he thinks can turn the fight in his favor, especially with the feeling that Money May is easier to hit now that he’s older.

“The left hand and the hook,” Pacquiao said. “If he go after me, then the hook. Once he’s coming over, his left hand is down.”

With the fight having tremendous buzz surrounding all facets of it, Pacquiao has been training as hard as he has since he was in his early 20s.

“I’m more inspired, more encouraged, of course one of the biggest in boxing history and my boxing career,” Pacquiao said.

If that training pays off, Mayweather could be in trouble as many have felt that Pacquiao lost his so-called, “killer instinct” and if his training regimen is any indication, that go-for-blood mentality could be back just in time for the fight of his life.
