Conor Heun “I am going to drag Ryan Couture into a brawl”

Coming off a win in June against Magno Almeida, Strikeforce lightweight Conor Heun is looking to make it two in a row this weekend on the under-card of the Strikefore women’s Bantamweight title bout between Meisha Tate and Ronda Rousey. When he steps into the Strikeforce cage that night, he will be looking right across from Ryan Couture, the son of UFC hall of famer Randy Couture. Though the younger Couture sports a career total of four fights, he brings with him a wicked submission game and the comfort of having a treasure trove of MMA knowledge that is his father close by.

We had a chance to catch up with Heun as he talks to our fight correspondent Monta Wiley on location in California. Heun is hoping to drag Couture out of his element, telling us that he plans to “drag Ryan Couture into a brawl.” Though seeing that Heun trains at Legends MMA and alongside Eddie Bravo, one would argue he is more than capable of having the advantage on the ground. Heun shares how his training camp has been thus far, who he has been working with and more in this exclusive interview!
