The long awaited super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is expected to bring in the most money in boxing history and raised prices to watch the bout would ensure it to be record-breaking financially.

According to the Fight Ghost on Twitter, the standard definition price for the Mayweather-Pacquiao pay-per-view would be $99.99, with the high definition price being a whopping $109.99.  This would be a substantial increase from previous Mayweather and Pacquiao PPVs as the highest one was $74.99 for “Money May’s” 2013 bout with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (which is the highest grossing PPV bout of all-time).

This would be on top of the price to get a ticket to the May 2 bout live at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, as reports are the cheapest being $1,000 and as high as $5,000.

In all the bout is expected to gross a minimum $300 million, which  of course is contingent on the fight actually getting signed.

There was a lot of speculation that the bout would be made on Super Bowl Sunday, especially after the two met face-to-face to workout a deal, but a Mayweather social media post changed that thought.

Now, reports are the decision to whether or not the fight will take place is to be made no later than Tuesday, giving fights fans worldwide another couple of days to mull over if the bout will be made or not.

With all the money on the line for all involved, not to mention respect from the fans, it would appear that the time is now for the bout to finally be made, but with the history of the Mayweather-Pacquiao saga, who knows what will transpire.

The world will have to wait and see, hopefully to hear the bout will take place this spring.
