Mike Alvarado thinks Pacquiao won first bout with Bradley, will get revenge April 12

Alvarado on Pac Bradely ll

Like the majority of those who watched the first time Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley Jr. met in the ring in June 2012, former two-division champion Mike Alvarado thought that Pacquiao won the bout.

Of course, history states that Bradley won after he was awarded a split decision win to the dismay to those in attendance and the millions watching worldwide.

Alvarado said he thinks Bradley is better than he was in 2012, which should bode well for Bradley, but continued saying Pacquiao will be too much to handle for Bradley April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev.

Sure, Bradley should have lost the first bout, but he didn’t and he received scorn worse that he would have if he actually was handed the first loss of his career.

With the extra motivation to clear his name and prove he is deserving of the WBO title that he won from Pacquiao in 2012, there is a real chance that Bradley wins again this time around, but in a fashion that he won’t take any flak for.

Pacquiao will have extra motivation himself after Bradley fueled his fire claiming he lacks the killer instinct that made Paquiao a household name. Boiling Pacquiao’s blood maybe just what Bradley needs to do, as he is a solid defensive fighter and an aggressive Pacquiao will open up ample opportunities for Bradley to land counter punches, something he does as good as anyone in the sport.

That could then backfire though, if Pacquiao can land some power shots that could change the course of the bout, giving Pacquiao the win.

No matter who wins, with both fighters having plenty to prove Saturday night and the bout should be more exciting than the first go-round. The one thing that matters most is that the rightful winner is awarded the victory as boxing doesn’t need another black eye.
