It is pretty amazing what Bernard Hopkins has done in a career that has spanned 28 years. In that time, the man formerly known as the “Executioner,” reigned over the middleweight division for a decade and became the oldest athlete to win a major world title at 49 years young. Hopkins will be one that we speak of decades from now and he looks to keep building his already hall of fame worthy folio on November 8th.
On that night he will look to unify the light-heavyweight titles as he takes on hellacious knockout artist Sergey Kovalev in a fight that is highly anticipated. On Tuesday, while Floyd Mayweather was doing his thing in Las Vegas, B-Hop and Kovalev held a kick-off press conference to formally announce the bout to be shown on HBO and held in Atlantic City.
As is expected, the ageless wonder spoke from the gospel of Hopkins as he turned last Tuesday into the Bernard Hopkins show.
