For all the fans who have been waiting for the public tickets to go on sale to the long-awaited super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao you can spend your hard earned cash on tickets next week, if you can find them.

Lance Pugmire of The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that the tickets to what’s being billed as the “Fight of the Century” taking place May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, are to go on sale “by the end of next week,” quoting Mayweather Promotion’s Leonard Ellerbe.

Despite the MGM Grand Garden Arena reportedly adding to the existing space of around 16,200 seats, to try and get the capacity for the bout to around 17,000 seats (h/t Las Vegas Review-Journal), only around 1,000 are reportedly going to be put up for public sale.

The least amount fans can expect to pay is $1,500 for seats up in the bleachers, with prices reportedly reaching as high as $10,000 for premium seats. That would be twice the price originally reported of $5,000 for floor seats.

In all, the ticket sales to private and public buyers is expected to rake in around $72 million on the live gate alone, which would smash the old record of just over $2o million held by Mayweather versus Saul Alvarez for their September 2013 bout, which also holds the pay-per-view grossing record ($150 million).

So if you’re ready to fork over the astronomical prices for tickets to the mega-fight, you’ll have to be faster than both Mayweather and Pacquiao in the ring. Because odds are the public tickets will be gone in the blink of an eye, leaving those interested in attending the fight live having to use a ticket reseller service, which means paying far more than the already pricey face value for a ticket.
