Canelo Alvarez faces Ndou December 4th in Mexico

It was announced today that rising mexican boxing phenom Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will face IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou December 4 at Xcaret, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

“I’ve seen Saul Alvarez fights against Jose Cotto and Carlos Baldomir and I see he does make mistakes in the ring,” said Ndou. “Against Cotto he was in trouble himself early in the fight and was nearly stopped but came back to win in round six.” Ndou added, “When I get him in trouble I will not let him off the hook. I gave Miguel Cotto a good fight and he’s a much tougher boxer than Jose Cotto. Alvarez win over Baldomir was predictable. I sparred Baldomir recently and I know he’s a shot fighter. I know Alvarez is looking for a win over a veteran but I want him to know he has picked on the wrong veteran. I am going to kick his ass. I must thank my boxing agent Mike Marchiote for getting me the fight against Alvarez.”

Ndou was last in action on the 18th of September as he went to a 12 round decision, winning in South Africa.
